Voglibose  is an α-glucosidase inhibitor recommends for lowering post-prandial blood glucose levels in people with diabetes mellitus. In addition, it delays the absorption of glucose thereby reducing the risk of macrovascular complications.

Metformin is use to treat the patients with type 2 diabetes with a proper diet and exercise program. Possibly with other medications to control high blood sugar. Controlling high blood sugar helps prevent kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems, loss of limbs, and sexual function problems.
