PYRIDIUM , ( Phenazopyridine  ) in the treatment of bacterial infections of urinary tract.
It relieves urinary tract pain, burning, irritation, and discomfort caused by urinary tract infections.

How it Work

It works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to the brain which decreases the sensation of pain.

Phenazopyridine is a chemical which, when excreted into the urine, has a local analgesic effect. So It is often used to alleviate the pain, irritation, discomfort, or urgency caused by urinary tract infections, surgery, or injury to the urinary tract. Hence urine can pass easily.
