MIGON PLUS Tablet, in the treatment of angina, arrhythmias, heart attack, increased blood pressure , anxiety and migraine. Also a number of types of irregular heart rate, thyrotoxicosis, capillary hemangiomas, performance anxiety, and essential tremors.

Flunarizine is effective in the prophylaxis of migraine, occlusive peripheral vascular disease, vertigo of central and peripheral origin, and as an adjuvant in the therapy of epilepsy. It has been shown to significantly reduce headache frequency and severity in both adults and children.

How it Work

It is a non-selective beta blocker which works by blocking β-adrenergic receptors.

Propranolol is able to cross the blood–brain barrier and exert effects in the central nervous system in addition to its peripheral activity.

Flunarizine is a drug classified as a calcium antagonist.

Common Side Effects

Contraindications are Diabetes mellitus, hyperthyroidism, Bradycardia (<60 beats/minute), Sick sinus syndrome, Atrioventricular block (second- or third-degree), Shock, Severe hypotension.

Flunarizine is contraindicated in patients with depression, in the acute phase of a stroke.
