Uses of  DILVAS 10 mg Tablet

DILVAS,  ( Enalapril ) is a medication for heart diseases. This includes High blood pressure ( hypertension ),  heart failure, and Preservation of kidney disease in diabetic nephropathy.

How it Work 

Enalapril, is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor.

Normally, angiotensin I is converted to angiotensin II by an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). Angiotensin II constricts blood vessels, increasing blood pressure. By inhibiting the ACE, Hence it decreases levels of angiotensin II leading to less vasoconstriction and decreased blood pressure. thereby it lowers the blood pressure. Hence As a result it relaxes the heart and work more efficiently. Moreover use either by mouth or injection into a vein.

Common Side Effects

Common side effects include Headache, Nausea, Light headedness on standing. Also above all it increases serum creatinine level and dry cough.
